Nihongo hanasou
The following are simple examples that can be used when asking or giving direction.
Example One
Ramly : Sumimasen, shiyakusho e wa dou ikeba ii deshouka?
Excuse me, How do I get to the City Office?
Passersby : Kono michi o massugu itte hashi o watatte tokoro desu.
Go straight down this street and cross over the bridge. It is just across the bridge.
Example Two
Man : Sumimasen, senrieki e wa dou ikeba ii deshouka?
Excuse me, how do I get to Senri Station?
Women :

Ano kado o migi ni magatte saka o orita tokoro desu.
Turn right at that corner and go down the slope. It is at the foot of the slope.

Here are some useful words that are commonly used when asking for or giving direction.
Pedestrian Crossing : oudanhodou
Intersection : kousaten
Bus Stop : basutei
Traffic Signal : shingou
Along the river : kawazoi ni
Railroad Crossing : fumigiri
Rail track : senro
Street : michi
At the end of the street : tsukiatari ni
Katakana Shiken
