Welcome to the last issue of our Newsletter for 2007. The last quarter has been a busy one because of the Federation of South-east Asian Alumni Societies (FOSAAS) 6th Convention hosted in Ho Chih Minh City from 21st-24th November, and our Annual Dinner (AOTS Nite 2007) on 30th November. 
 
During the FOSAAS Convention, Malaysia proposed the setting up of a joint Japan (AOTS)-Malaysia training centre on Advanced Information and Communication Technology in Johor (as part of the Johor Cyber Port complex).  Our Annual Dinner was a success, and we thank all the sponsors, guests and members for their kind contributions and presence.
 
Some of your Executive Members together with Kodaira-san paid a courtesy call to our Patron Y.B. Dato' Seri Rafidah Aziz on 29th August 2007. Y.B. Dato' Seri was very gracious to provide advice on how we should further enhance our activities and standing. She suggested that PAAM should publish a booklet with comprehensive data and information to highlight the training activities and achievements over the years. This would increase public awareness of the tremendous amount of effort that has been expended in the area of human resource development by AOTS in cooperation with PAAM. Y.B. Dato' Seri mentioned that human capital development is critical to Malaysia's economic development.
