The Social Sub Committee successfully organized a day trip to FRIM, Kepong on Sunday, 29th August 2004. The group of 29 enthusiastic participants consisted of PAAM members and their families, fellow staff and Leo club members. The programs arranged for the day included the famous jungle trekking and canopy walk. The group was first given a briefing about FRIM by the assigned officer who was also our guide for the day. The journey started around 10am with a visit to the museum, later followed by jungle trekking, canopy walk and finally back to the level ground to have our packed lunch under the trees accompanied by a cooling breeze. The canopy walk has four stations whereby each station offers a breathtaking panorama including the prominent skyscraper Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers (KLCC). However, the river was almost motionless due to the dry season this year around. Everyone was exhausted but they were very happy for being able to explore the jungle, smell the green leaves and breathe the fresh air. All of us were so amazed with mother-nature. We hope that more activities such as this one will be organized in the near future.
