19TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

PAAM had its AGM on 25 April 2004. With an attendance of 41 members and on a bright and sunny Sunday morning, the meeting commenced at 10.20 am with greetings from both the President of PAAM, En. Abd. Aziz Y. Kamaruddin and the General Manager of AOTS KL, Mr. Takeshi Ichikawa. Both emphasized on the close collaboration between AOTS and PAAM especially with the Collaborative Agreement signed between them to enhance PAAM?s commitment and role in meeting AOTS? objectives in Malaysia.

From this year AOTS has increased its target number of participants from Malaysia to undergo training in Japan. With this in mind, members and their companies are being encouraged to send more of their employees and urge their friends and associates to undergo the training programs planned.

There was also a lively discussion based on the reports made by the various sub-committees and from the Treasurer?s report. From the discussions, PAAM will undertake to provide further clarifications and information where deemed necessary through its report so that members are made more aware of the running of PAAM.

The members were then introduced to the staff from both AOTS and PAAM . At the same time, members were also told of Mr. Ichikawa?s extension by AOTS to work in Malaysia for another year.
