New Generation Roofing Sheet

Generally roofing tiles and sheets are made of ceramic materials and metals. Ceramic roofing tiles dated back to the classical times and metal roofing sheets are recent products.
Ceramic tiles offer the advantages of good heat and sound insulation other than aesthetic appearance, however they are heavy and more costly. Metal roofing sheets offer the advantages of lightweight and easy installation, but not good heat and sound insulation, and they are also not lasting in corrosive atmospheres.

Plastic roofing materials are also produced to meet certain requirements but they generally degrade very fast under the hot sunlight and not very lasting.
Ultradeck uPVC roofing system is a new generation Malaysian product made of plastic materials processed with additives to enhance the lifespan of the product under harsh weather conditions and corrosive environments. The roofing sheets have been tested extensively to simulate years of exposure under sunlight and the properties are still found to be in good condition.

THERMAL AND NOISE INSULATION
Without any additional heat and noise insulation material, the product itself has good and effective thermal and noise insulation in comparison to the traditional metal roofing system.

CHEMICAL CORROSION RESISTANCE
Due to the characteristic properties of uPVC, the product is able to withstand the salty atmosphere by the seas and other chemical corrosions that normally cause rusting of metal type roofing systems.

DURABLE AND IMPACT RESISTANT
The product is durable and does not crack under drilling, hammering and cutting during installation. This also ensure the safety of the roofing installer.

WEATHER RESISTANT AND LONG LASTING
The advance polymer processing technology and chemicals additives availability has made the uPVC chemical properties being altered to guard against harsh weather conditions and the environments. Exposure under direct UV light had been carried out extensively and the products found to be in satisfactory conditions after the tests.

EASE OF HANDLING AND INSTALLATION
The product is lightweight and easy to install. A maximum sheet length of 30 feet is viable.

FIRE RESISTANT
The product itself is self-extinguishable. This product furthermore offers the advantage of meltdown during a fire, thus enable toxic fumes, smoke and heat to escape, unlike metal roofs which trap in the heat and smoke.

The inventor is looking into promoting it to various areas like in the Commercial & industrial building, Agricultural building, Public & Government building and Residential building. The product is established based on the idea to improve roofing on the structural geometry, noise reduction, durability, and heat insulation.
