Gathering of Ex-AOTS Trainees
Persatuan Alumni AOTS Malaysia (PAAM) recently held a gathering for the ex-AOTS Trainees at its office on 17th September 2003. The main objective of this gathering was to get feedback on the skills and resources of ex-trainees to see how they can contribute to society, with regards to the problems of technology transfer.
Let's put our knowledge to work Okey, the guy who took my spoon was about this tall ...
The event started at 6:30pm with some light refreshments before the trainees adjourned for a short talk on Occupational Health and Safety. This was followed by a dialogue session chaired by the President of PAAM.

Twelve ex-trainees from various backgrounds attended the gathering. They provided valuable feedback from the respective courses that they had attended, and also provided suggestions for improvement. "Evaluation on AOTS Training" questionnaire was also distributed for the ex-trainees to complete. Based on the findings, the ex-trainees expressed their wish for a longer training period where they can have more time to appreciate Japanese culture. They also highlighted that Japanese technological advancement, personal discipline and punctuality have made a strong impression on them throughout their training.

The gathering ended with a Q & A session with AOTS KL representative, Mr. Takeshi Ichikawa and suggestions from ex-trainees on how they can contribute towards sharing their experiences with the Malaysian public. Five ex-trainees later signed up as Ordinary Members of PAAM.
