 It
is a pleasure to meet all of you again through our Newsletter. It was an
even greater pleasure to meet some of you personally when you kindly attended
The Ex-AOTS Trainees Dialogue Session. It was an exquisite pleasure when
those of you who attended the Dialogue session signed up as members immediately
after the Dialogue. It was the highlight of the year when more than 120
members and their lovely spouses/children turned up for our AOTS Annual
Dinner at a Japanese Restaurant! Thank you to all of you for your continuous
support of our Persatuan.Although we have had quite an active and busy period, there were some disappointments too. A Tea-talk had to bae canceled due to poor response. Our plans for some social activities did not take-off. We will learn from these minor disappointments. I have always asked for your participation in our activities and always look forward to your suggestions for improvement. Please therefore spend a few moments of your precious time to write or e-mail us. With more than 600 members, one contribution or idea from each of you would make a tremendous impact to our Persatuan. One way that some of you can contribute is to host some Japanese visitors under our Hippo Home-stay Exchange Programme. Just contact our office if you would like to make a difference and contribute towards international understanding and cross-cultural exchange. Our two staff members (Ms. Suhaila and Ms. Wan Hayati) have done a good job in making sure that our activities run smoothly. I also would like to thank the AOTS Representative / General Manager, Mr. Ichikawa and his assistant Ms. Chong Mei Pheng for their excellent cooperation to our Persatuan. On behalf of your Central Committee Members, I take this opportunity to wish all of you "Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri", "A Happy and Prosperous New Year", and "Gong Xi Fa Chai".
